ON MY MORNING WALK: Chico Condors

On       ON MY MORNING WALK: Chico Condors Early on Wednesday morning I happened to talk out onto a small plateau south of "Walden", a large flat area through which an overflow creek from the lake flows, bordered on the east by some very large, impressive, expensive homes. As I walked through the meadow, a turkey vulture (otherwise known as a "Chico Condor" swooped low over my head and a few seconds later a second  "condor" flew over, and though unprepared, I did manage to catch a snapshot of him. It's not unusual for the "condors" to come close to me as I think that they are used to my presence and I often wave at them or even talk to them as they circle overhead. Well, I followed these two birds a short way and I found myself laughing aloud when I discovered where they had gone - there they sat in the golden light of dawn on the roof of one of the nearby, lavish homes.
